About Rachel: I have been sewing since second grade, when my friend June taught me how to hand sew little dolls from small scraps of fabric. I’ve continued sewing ever since, taking private lessons from a tailor in high school, and sewing and fashion design classes in college. Sustainability is an important elements of sewing for me, and I strive to use vintage, thrifted, and up-cycled natural fiber fabrics with zero and minimal-waste designs. See some things I have made.

“Did you make that?!” I get this question a lot. Offering simple sewing workshops that focus on process, basic skills and pleasing projects is my answer to folks who tell me, “I’m not good with my hands, I can’t sew.” Anybody can sew—and everybody should. Join me!
